Moto GP 2021 kicks off this weekend. As a life long fan I cannot even assume who will take the championship this season especially after last year. One thing is for sure, Marquez 93 will miss the opening rounds due to injury. Here is the schedule and the races are supposedly going to be shown on NBC sports. Schedule-

    April 18: Portugal (Algarve)

    May 2: Spain (Jerez)

    May 16: France (Le Mans)

    May 30: Italy (Mugello)

    June 6: Catalonia, Spain (Barcelona)

    June 20: Germany (Sachsenring)

    June 27: Netherlands (Assen)

    July 11: Finland (KymiRing)

    August 15: Austria (Spielberg)

    August 29: Great Britain (Silverstone)

    September 12: Aragon, Spain (Alcaniz)

    September 19: San Marino (Misano)

    October 3: Japan (Motegi)

    October 10: Thailand (Buriram)

    October 24: Australia (Phillip Island)

    October 31: Malaysia (Sepang)

November 14: Valencia, Spain (Ricardo Tormo)

We'll see if today's race is a repeat of last week. It'll be interesting to see who's made changes to improve their late race performance. :)

Man those new Ducati's are beast! Once they get the tire management figured out they will be unstoppable. Good job to El Diablo on the win!

Yeah Ducati has the HP but falls short on edge grip to the Yamahas and Suzukis. I was impressed with the Ducati launch control, now they lower the back of the bike also. It'll be interesting to see if Honda has fallen behind the other brands, won't know for sure until Marc comes back.

I was lucky enough to see the GP race at Laguna Seca (Monterey, CA) in summer of 2005 when it returned to the US for the first time in 15+ years. I rode down with a few friends, Monterey is only 4 hours from where I live. It was an amazing full weekend experience, for sure. Walking through the pit area was off the hook. For part of the race, we sat at the top of the Corkscrew, watched the riders dive over the edge and scream down into those tight turns. Hayden (Kentucky Kid) won, Rossi (The Doctor) came in a solid 3rd. It was something to see, damn near half the fans there were spring #46 gear (shirts, flags,...). Rossi had just switched from Repsol/Honda to Yamaha at that point in his career.

Last year Quartararo was my pick for the title. He started the season swinging for the fence but fell short. I'ma give him one more chance this year. Go El Diablo!

Oh yes, my friends and I all parked our bikes under a very unique tree, and I was one of the very few, if not only person who put a cover over my bike. That helped it stand out really well :D

Not so good so far imo. From the "Shit just got real report" -

In the review carried out on Marc Marquez by the Hospital Ruber Internacional medical team, four months after surgery, led by Doctors Samuel Antuña and Ignacio Roger de Oña, and made up of Doctors De Miguel, Ibarzabal and García Villanueva, for an infected pseudoarthrosis of the right humerus, a very satisfactory clinical condition was found, with evident progress in the bone consolidation process. In the current situation, Marquez can return to competition, assuming the reasonable risk implicit in his sporting activity.

Been a fan for years. I really enjoy watching the Moto 2 and 3 races as well. I look forward to seeing Marc back out on the track.

Went to all the Moto GP races at Indy. Was amazing to hear them down the main straight. Anyway with MM coming back to race this weekend really adds to the early season drama. Ducati has a solid rider lineup with a extremely powerful engine. The Yamaha factory bike seems to be a solid package this season but wait until mid season to see how the engine allotment is holding up. Suszuki seems to be down on power slightly but still a good bike. The Honda now seems to be a mess without MM's talent to reign it in. If the bike is still poor handling like previous years will MM push his luck knowing that one major fall could potentially end his career?

How about that tire track on Joe Robert's leathers, from the last lap?

I haven't watched a single moto3 race this season. but I have videopass and the wife is going to visit her mother for a week so I guess I need to catch up. Feeling really bad for Rossi this season. Must be a real pride killer. hopefully its not going to be his last season. I remember when he told Sete Gibernau,"As long as I'm alive you will never win another race." And he didn't. Those were the 2 stroke 500cc days.
