Let's See Your Cats!!!

He’s the same size as my Ollie & Harry(aka Munch)

 

hes so big. Almost knocks the wind out of me when he flops over on to me in bed.

He stands 14" tall and about 26" long nose to butt, not including his huge tail.

 

So our neighbor came up to our house last night, doesn't speak great English and started asking me if I wanted "two baby cuts" for our daughter who is 14 months old. I couldn't understand what that meant, so she told me she'd bring "2 baby cuts" over for me to see

Sure enough, what she meant was 2 baby cats/kittens lol. She brought them over in a box. Apparently got them from a friend who's cat had a litter, but her husband doesn't want them.

My wife is entertaining the idea but I'm not so sure, we have 2 older indoor cats already and I don't know how they'd do with a kitten. We certainly can't take both and I would feel bad about separating the last two siblings. But chances are they'll get separated anyway.

We are thinking we might take them just to foster for a short while and if we can't find them homes, there is a humane society the next town over (no kill shelter).

They are currently living in a box in the other house's backyard because the husband doesn't want them around. They look healthy but they are barely 6 weeks old, she said they are eating regular wet food though. I don't really know much about kittens but I know that is pretty young to be separated from mama.

 

Then he should simply take them to an organized and supported rescue organization who will make sure they're healthy, spayed/neutered, and adopted by people who can handle pets.

 

Yeah I'm just not sure he will, that's why we are thinking of taking them and doing it so we know it will be done (and they won't end up just dropped off somewhere random)

 

My wife has texted everyone she knows and then some, but unfortunately no one she knows is currently looking to adopt.

 

update - they found a home for one of them this morning, my wife might have a lead on a home for the second one. Sounds like it will work out for the best

 

This is fight mode. Doesn't seem that effective but my hands say the opposite

 

She was stalking a Squirrel and a couple birds today, she blended in so good that it even took me awhile to see her.

 

Caught this guy in bed this morning right before the auto feeder went off. I wish I had this kind of energy when the alarm clock went off
