LS swap. You’ll get more hp N/A than the supercharger right out of the gate. Then the aftermarket is massive with plenty of power adders and wrap it up you should be able to get HP tuners to tune the ECU. You can’t do that with a 5vz or a 2jz.

    You will loose boost there,

The other end also has a rubber O ring too on the same tube bypass

Thanks I haven’t driven it much being I park it during the winter. It’s sounds a little dry so I’m gonna retire little red and not drive it. It hasn’t been serviced for a while.:boom: So I want to get ported so I might as well have it rebuilt at same time. Is this jon bond performance a good shop to go to? any one have any recommendations on a good shop with good turnaround?

I spoke with the guy that owns Magnum Powers and in my opinion he seems like the most honest and straight forward guy in the rebuild market.

I first called and left a message and he returned my call after hours and answered all my questions and explained all my options thoroughly. What I like best is he explained the pros and cons of coatings and porting rather than just sell it. He even told me how to test the blower bearings for out of spec clearances.

Some of these other guys just seem to really want you to send it in wether it needs a rebuild or not.

That does sound a little lean. When driving and not in boost, I am always at 14.1-14.8, probably an average of about 14.5. Never seen 15s or higher unless its when I take my foot off the throttle entirely which is normal.

In boost I see low 11s on the AFR gauge (I'm talking open loop/wide open throttle). If I maintain boost at 3psi or so for a little bit I'll see 12s-13s.

When you go wide open throttle, what does the AFR read? Should be in the 11s from what I gather

Your fuel trim numbers might be good to look at as well, if you've got a scan gauge or the like. To see if they are in the normal or rich/lean territory

Ok yeah that sounds more normal to me now, a quick jump to low 11s AFR when jumping on the throttle is expected and where it should be at. If I'm in moderate boost, it takes a little time for the AFRs to go down as well. From what I've gathered in here the ECU will always fight to keep AFRs at around 14.7 like its supposed to unless you go into open loop (wide open throttle) which is when you see the AFRs take a plunge down into the 10s or 11s. Normal (someone correct me here if I'm wrong). But that's how mine's always behaved, too.

I guess the only thing that sounds a bit off in the initial post was the 15s -16 driving around not in boost. That should ideally be at 14.7 or close to it AFAIK. Though low 15s isn't really far off from that. If anything mines usually a bit under 14.7, average 14.3 - 14.5

That's some territory I haven't dived into yet, messing with the 7th mapping. Some guys on here have though. I know you can adjust it to spray earlier, as it is out of the box you have to be pretty heavy on the throttle/RPMs to get it to supply more fuel. But outside of boost? I'm not sure tbh.

I would almost wonder if it's a small vacuum leak somewhere causing it to lean out a little, though if that were the case I imagine you'd be losing boost pressure as well. Your fuel trims would help narrow that down, short term/long term fuel trims you want to be between -10 and 10, closer to zero the better. If they're greater than +10 then there's a lean condition like a vacuum leak, less than -10 and you have a rich condition.

Hey guys.. Been doing some truck maintenance here lately and noticed my fuel trims are rather high, LTFT 114 at idle and around 108 cruzin due to the lower vacuum..

I’ve checked the usual suspects but not really seeing anything; beginning to believe my injectors are slightly clogged.

However, before doing anything; I wanted to see what other supercharged tacos LTFT are.. As this could be just the nature of the beast. Thx

Mine typically run around zero and neg after I got my injections cleaned,
The fuel filter in each injector will plug up with miles
Before that they were + 10 range

Just for clarification mine have been all over the place. Everywhere from zero to around 10. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen others with the same experience as well.
It wouldn’t surprise me if I had some manifold leaks etc. though with how may lower/upper intake manifold gaskets looked

Ive gotten my injectors cleaned professionally and it didn’t help.
because of all this I gave up on tracking it down.

Vacuum leaks are usually the 1st reason tho, or dirty MAF OR bad MAF OR fake DENSO MAF

Yeah but it would be zero one day and 10 the next. That’s an extreme example but it was always changing.

The MAF will change your trims drastically if not working correctly

Is it better to go with the URD fuel pump that comes with the seventh injector or is there a quieter one out there that’s good? I installed the one that comes with the kit and it is LOUD! Can hear it resonating in the cab
