Has anyone done the OEM fog light install on a 2009 Taco ?

I have a 2009, extended cab without the SR5 (its a spare vehicle), yet it has power windows, locks, etc.

I want to do the fog light install. I have the wiring at the fenders, and the relay slot in the fuse block, but when I remove the blank (upper left) on the dash, there is no wire harness attached. I havent ripped the dash apart to do any digging in behind yet.

Is this truck likely to have the wiring to the fenders, but not the wiring at the dash ?

Interestingly the center blank, and the right blank both have wire harnesses attached.

Is it just a two conductor switch, connector I am looking for ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Mods I have done.
    1. OEM cruise control installed
    2. OEM Intermittent wipers
    3. Wind/Shades on side windows
    4. Rock/Bug gard on hood
    5. Tri-fold box cover. Just love it !
    6. UsaSpec PA15-Toy ipod adapter. Having some problems with this one.

I also have an '09 but mine is a SR5 and am also interested and installing factory headlights. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for us.

    millette1968,

    I've got a 2009 access cab with the 4 cylinder/manual transmission
and the convenience package. There is no wiring at all for the fog
lights (either at the fender or where the dash switch would go).
From what I've read...it appears that the 4 cylinders have no
wiring for fog lights...though the 6 cylinder models do (and that
may only be automatics...but I'm not sure).

I see in your mods that you installed the intermittent wiper switch on
your 2009. Can you tell me if that's the same switch as on the
2005-2008 Tacomas? Mine came without it and I'd like to upgrade
like you did. Have read on the boards that you can upgrade the
2005-2008 fixed speed wipers to intermittent wipers by replacing
the wiper switch/stalk. Can you tell me which switch you used or
    what part number it is?

    Thanks,
    George.

I'm in the same boat as the few of you...However, I just found a guy selling the OEM foglight switches on Ebay for $20 bucks...Here's the item number and link. I just ordered one myself. I figure worst case I'll completely rewire it if I have to.

TOYOTA TACOMA OEM FOG LAMP SWITCH 05-09Item number: 300276244091

If this link doesn't work, just cut and paste the item number into the search slot...he's got 18 left.

I just got my 2009 Double cab last week & want to also add the wiper, cruise, & fog lights. Have you heard anything on if installing these yourself will void the warranty?
