Hello Everyone, happy to finally be able to join this community after trading in my 2016 4WD Tundra to a DCSB 2WD Off-Road Tacoma. I know this question has been asked many times before, but I still cannot figure out a clear answer; so please bear with me. I have searched through multiple TW threads and /r/toyotatacoma posts and still am unsure which suspension lift is best suited for my needs. Would love to hear some advice (particularly recent experience with their suspension performance) to finally pull the trigger on my upgrade.

I went with the pre-runner since my off-road needs are primarily in So Cal; Anza Borrego/Ocotillo to be exact. So weekend-warrior light trail running; no snow or mudding. I took my stock truck out there last weekend and it did surprisingly great with air down tires. Did not get stuck once. Would be nice to improve the suspension though so I can have a little bit smoother and forgiving (bit of clearance) ride out there.

My options are as follows as I am not trying to spend too much money as my truck is still commuting a good amount during the week:
    1. Billstein 5100s all around with Icon AAL in the rear. Set at 3-4 notch for almost 2" of lift. Stock OEM coils. Most affordable suspension lift ($642 for parts). I'm sure it will be fine (I had this setup on my tundra before and it was great), but I would not mind paying a bit more for better performance and doing it right the first time. I understand the benefits of having the coils do the lift versus the shocks.
    2. Billstein 5100s all around with Icon AAL in the rear. Set at 0 with OME 887 coils for about 2.5" of lift settling down to 1.5-2" of lift. Reasonable price ($850 for parts). I was originally set on this, but I have heard that these parts in conjunction are not the best (Toytec Post and user experience). Concerned with overall sagging down the line. Does it make sense to use Eibach Coils instead of OME? Higher weight grade of OME coil (886)?
    3. Billstein 6112 in the front and 5100 in the rear with Icon AAL. Set at notch for 1.75" of lift (per Billstein recs). More expensive ($1200), but a reliable and trustworthy set-up which may save me money and time down the line? At the same time, not sure if this is overkill for my needs?
    4. Eibach/Toytec 2" coilover/shock set-up in the front and billstein 5100s in rear with Icon AAL ($1000). Not sure if this would work? Heard good thinks about the Eibach/Toytec front shocks. At this price point worth it to go a different route?
    5. The OME full packages looked nice, but after reading the forums it appears I should probably stay away from them since they are more suited for heavy overlanding vehicles (such as equiped Land Cruisers in Aus).
These are my thoughts so far; would appreciate some feedback. Again I apologize for the redundancy in my questions, but I have been having a difficult time trying to wrack my head around the most affordable and best valued overland suspension set-up. Thank you.
