My first new vehicle was a 2004 Tacoma v6 manual that I had for about 6 months. After about a month of driving it around, I noticed a moldy smell that I couldn't get rid of. Short story is that there was a seal missing from the factory and my carpets were destroyed. Ended up getting the truck replaced, but only had it until the 2005 came out. Loved the 2nd gen look so much, I took a negative equity hit and bought it rolling over about $4k to the new loan. I didn't mod it at all and drove it until the transmission gave out and the head gasket started leaking. Not sure what caused it, but I was ready for a new truck.

This brings me to my current truck. In 2013 I bought a TX Pro (not the Baja) because that was the only "Off Road" Tacoma that was available in my are when I was buying. I did some light mods a few years in, like a 3" lift, some bigger tires and a few minor mods, but nothing too drastic. Over the last few weeks, however, I've kicked it into high gear (call it a midlife crisis?) and started getting all kinds of new stuff. Did the rear bumper this past weekend, the front is on its way and should go in this weekend. Replacing head and tail lights, and all lights in between (not to mention all the wiring for the lights in the new bumpers). I've also decided to finally get around to installing the SPC upper control arms from my lift kit from 6 years ago. Not to mention new wheels and tires.

I've gotten such great advice and ideas from TW over the years I finally signed up. Looking forward to sharing pics along the way.
