I finally caved and got a Tacoma. I live in SW Colorado - where Tacomas and Subaru Outbacks are ubiquitous... for good reason. I drove an Outback for 10 years, but got tired of jamming it full of all my firefighting gear moving between stations for work (It's nice to put that stuff in the bed instead of having to be inside the vehicle with it, no matter how much you clean it, still has cancer-causing gunk on it).

My husband and I are also starting work building on our property, and wanted a truck to do some light-moderate work. No matter how protective I feel of it, these trucks are meant to work, right?

Looking forward to romping it on some 4WD drive roads exploring in the mountains this summer as well.

Lots of good info on TW, learning lots, trying to restrain myself from throwing money at "unnecessary" upgrades :)

Good luck restraining yourself from "unnecessary upgrades"

Between hanging around in here and the standard mod fever option that comes with all Tacoma's

    You don't stand a chance

    Welcome...

There are a lot of great people here and some hard to find, necessary information... and also a lot of people with too much money and the time to damage and fix things continuously. But they can also be the source of good info too. Just keep a hand on your wallet.

No joke! Seems like I could basically throw as much money as I want to at my truck!
