Surprisingly they don't use these in the Panama Canal, just straight pull with steel cables by small locomotives.

No. The so-called "Panamax-class" ships are designed to pass thru the canal with only a foot to spare on each side. So they run train tracks on each side of the canal to tug from land.

The newest ships built no longer fit, so there's ongoing construction to widen the canal.

Thanks man! The brookies up there are something else, by far my favourite fish to go after in Ontario, always a huge reward for the long trek up there from southern Ontario. Plus they taste amazing :hungry:

Mechanically German cars easier to work with than anything Toyota I've dealt with so far... Computer and software wise, you just have to have the right tools there. Toyota software wise is as old as the first computer was made.

Mine got one more year, but based on what I see it'll run to 400K on original engine without troubles if serviced with the correct intervals and not the manufacturer intervals (Looking at you toyota and your 15K kms oil changes!) . By then I hope to move up to Taycan :fingerscrossed:

got two of those, any block nowadays will work, market is flooded with those

Hey guys, do you know how far off my speedo, and odometer will be with my 255\80R17 tires? Will there be any issues with ABS or anything else because of the bigger tires? How do I tell the ECU the new tire size?

    Thanks.

Well, the speedo difference will change depending how fast you're going. 85.5km/h is 90, 48 is about 50. So for regular city driving, you'll be 2-3 km/h off. On the highway, probably 5-10

There are these options if you're OCD about speed and mileage,

    https://www.carid.com/hypertech/in-...-730123.html?singleid=1386299312&url=96023739

    https://www.carid.com/rough-country...n-90043.html?singleid=2032873895&url=96023739

you can use this site to calculate what the effect on the speedo would be... So your speedo may reed 100 but you will be going 108...

I use the Hypertech module that @daks just mentioned, but unfortunately the price is now more than double what I paid. After programming it the speedometer is extremely accurate.

Thanks guys. I'm not overly concerned with the speedo reading correctly as long as I know how much it's off by. The odometer will be going up faster than it should too, which is more of a concern. Still not the end of the world. As long as there are no other issues.
