I have a 2006 V6 2WD Prerunner with 140K. At around 80MPH I hear a faint howling sound under the truck. There is a little play in the driveshaft around the carrier bearing so I'm thinking that might be the problem. But I'm wondering if it could also be a wheel bearing? I have an appointment to have the truck looked at tonight. I tow my SxS in the summer so I want to get it taken care of asap. Anybody have howling sounds at high speed?

Aux back up lights, Bed lights, Re-located trailer plug, Good dooby, a.k.a. jumper cable mod, Heated seats, back up camera,
    Rear wheel bearings.
If it was like mine; it drones through the whole cabin.
Napa has koyo (oem) replacements. They're not cheap and you need one of these:

The bearing is pressed into the axle. The pic is an axle tube with a plate welded on the cut side.

    Good luck.
