Whats up guys? First post here.. I just picked up this truck the other day as something to use mostly around town. I have always wanted a Regular Cab 4WD Tacoma. I picked it up cheap, paid about $5k.

It's in pretty good shape for having such high mileage. I was most impressed with the lack of rust on this car for being from the Northeast, apparently it was undercoated. One dent that looks like it can easily be pulled out and some scratches but nothing major. Mechanically it seems to be awesome. Sounds good and drives perfect. Clutch is smooth and all the gears are fine. Good tires, and brakes. The guy I bought it from was selling it for a friend and did not give me much information on it besides saying it was given oil changes religiously. I was a little skeptical but happy to find a massive pile of maintenance records in the glove box. About 50 or so receipts of it being serviced at the Toyota dealership since new. Most of the major fluids had been done once or twice.

I am going to document what I do to the truck in this thread. First order of business is removal and shampoo the bench seat. The inside of this car was absolutely filthy. Glad to be here and look forward to learning more about these cars.

Nice, I like those regular cabs, great score. Looks like another 100,000 miles left in that one, easy.

I just realized I posted this in the 3rd Gen forum so if a moderator could move it to 2nd Gen I would appreciate it.
