BSM sensor removal from rear bumper cap ...

    Trying to replace a damaged bumper cap with BSM sensor. I successfully removed the cap and unplugged the sensor but cannot figure out how to release the sensor.

    I have heard it is very delicate so any help to split the retainer ring is greatly appreciated.
