Get there while you can, heard they officially are going to close it for good soon. Sometime over the next few years, probably going to phase it out slowly.

It can be fun if you go when the crowds aren't there, but when there are crowds I can't stand the place.

I've never been but I constantly see new litigation to shut it down. It's a bummer to see so many people against people having fun just because it isn't an activity they participate in.

Yeah I'm kind of torn on it. That place has been open to offroading for many years, but in recent years there have been a lot of accidents, people driving over areas that are gated off, and even deaths so of course it brought all kinds of negative attention to it. And if there's one thing CA is crazy protective of, its the beaches....so once that kind of attention is brought up, it's just a matter of time before it gets shut down.

It does bring a lot of money to the town of Pismo though so I don't know how they're going to handle that. Which is probably why they say the shut down is going to take place over a few years and not overnight.

It's a fun place to be when you're there during the week over winter, hardly anyone else around. But over spring/summer it's an absolute zoo. Did that once and never again. But then again OHV 'parks' aren't really my thing. It's a fun experience though to drive on big sand dunes on the ocean, just to say you have.

Getting stuck in deep, soft sand sucks a big one though

Yeah, man, I heard the news. It's not super surprising. People are bastards. We'll see if/when they get sued.

I'm going on a weekday (april 1st/2nd) to hopefully avoid the crowds.

Don't you have a similar cooler in the cruiser?

It doesn't have a thermostat, just the design of the plates in the cooler allow thicker fluid to bypass through (low pressure drop) and once it warms up the fluid is directed through the cooler core.

All the pictures on the Website are Raws

I just don’t have any of them on my phone.
The trucks questionable but the pussys and bears are the reason for lens.
