Hey guys. I’m from Hawaii, and I’m having trouble finding the old man emu 2888 coil from anywhere that has reasonable shipping. I see 4wheelparts has the coil set, but it says it’s only 1.5”. If I am trying to achieve 3 inches of lift with the bilstein 5100 at the first notch, are these the wrong coils? Do I need the 2” coils? Thanks in advance. Btw I have a 2019 trd sport

The 888 coils will sag over time with your truck. They were never meant for the 2016 and newer Tacoma. The truck is heavier than the previous generation. Trust me, from first hand experience. They will sag. Eibach, Dobinson and I think even toytec make a coil that can be paired with the 5100s on bottom setting that will be the correct spring rate for our truck. Just gotta do some research.

Brah, stay away from that store. If you are set on OME coils and have Amazon prime,, check Amazon. If not, check Headstrong offroad. They have good deals and shipping to Hawaii. I got almost all my stuff from them for that reason. 4wp will bend you over the counter and go in without lube. They won't even take you to dinner first.

Also, I had the 2887s and they faired pretty well. Got 2 inches from them with almost 80k miles on my 5100s

Also, if u do 3 make sure to do SPC UCAs too. I got mine from Headstrong offroad for deals. Trust me, best thing I did for my truck. Drove long time without them. After installing them, never wanna go back. The steering is just so much better and the tire wear is much better too.

You will get debates on what's better uniball or balljoints. Then brands. All I know is the adjustability on the SPC and their ball joints is amazing. Check out Headstrong offroad. Contact Kevin. They always give good pricing and shipping to Hawaii. Way better than what you will find anywhere else for the SPC. Good quality, great adjustability, just all around amazing. I can't speak for the cambuegs but I'll be honest, I wouldn't run anything else. Just grease then with like 10-15 pumps of grease every oil change and they golden.

    U installing yourself?
