hey yal, so i ordered these headlights a few days ago and just realized i didn’t check up on something before i bought. I use the led bulbs high/low beam bulbs with the fan on the back and i noticed these headlights have kind of a cover behind them where the projector is. does anyone have experience with these and know if i can fit leds with the fan in them?? thanks

I just recently bought and installed these. The new bulb for these is I believe an H7 bulb but don't quote me on that. Unfortunately with the ones I bought they only fit whilst leaving the dust cover on the back of the headlights off. I've had them like this for about a month and I have had no issues. Mine do have the fan on them as well.

you got the LEDs with the lights on the side or the front? if on the side how do they work with the projectors? also what about just reusing the factory dust cover that i know fits my bulbs?

I'm not quite sure I understand what you're saying but if you're referring to the actual LED bulb itself, mine is wrapped with LED's all the way around the tip in a 360 degree formation because that causes the least deadzones with the lighting on the projector. I'm new to the forum so I don't know if there are any rules in regards to posting an Amazon link to the product otherwise I would. I'll try to attach a photo at the bottom of the exact bulbs I have. To answer your other question regarding the factory dust cover, I didn't try using it only because there was a hole drilled into the dust cover on the new headlights that has wires routed through it and glued to the cover, to me it seemed like more trouble than it was worth trying to force it on/think of a different solution. Like I said, I've ran the headlights without dust covers for a month now and have had no problems. I've done the same thing on previous vehicles with the same circumstances for well over 2 years and didn't have a problem with that also. I can try to upload a picture for you to see.

you’ve answered me pretty much. I appreciate it and thanks for the photo of the lights. I’m thinking i will most likely have to buy those instead of use the ones i’ve been using. thanks for the help

You won't be able to use the bulbs in the stock housing if that's what you mean in this new housing. Stock Toyota housings use H11 bulbs I believe. From what I've seen online however a lot of aftermarket Tacoma lights utilize the H7 bulb so if you already have an aftermarket housing with H7 you could always try that but otherwise it's a totally different bulb/part number and I would definitely recommend the 360 degree LEDs for projectors. I saw your question and made an account because I thought I could help! In other news though those headlights are pretty sweet. If you want to know anything specific about them feel free to let me know. Transformed the look of my truck. Cheers.
