I know asking something on this site that has already been answered is a big no no. But I have done my research and can’t seem to find a specific answer for my specific situation, so forgive me please if I missed a pervious answer.
I have a 2017 trd sport 2WD. I have a 3 inch lift ready to install and am debating between 285/70r17 or 33x12.5?
I am wanting to keep the stock wheels on the truck. No aftermarket. Would anyone know if these would fit without serious scrubbing? Would I need a cmc? Just answers in general would help. Thank you!!

12.5 is very wide. Likely will need CMC and lots of trimming.

You would need cmc maybe a cmc relocation , you would have to get wheel spacers to keep it from rubbing upper control arms with stock wheels because of the offset . You will have to trim a lot on the fenders both front and back of the wheel well . It’s a truck by truck basis but I had to get upper control arms to have my alignment shop add enough caster to push it off the cab mount even after a cmc relocation. I ended up going with after market wheels with - offset . It’s a lot to get that wide of tire to fit . Unless you want to do extensive trimming stick with 285 . My buddy had 285s with no CMC just wheel spacers and barely rubs on uca.

Stock wheels are going to be a problem.
