@OVTune Long time customer with a question. I am one of the OG's that had a purple dongle and converted to VFTune via the trade in deal. I unlocked my original ECU 04B13 and subsequently purchased the credits to unlock 04B14 shortly after,I am still on VFTune version 1.2.7.0
I now want to unlock a different ECU and it shows that I have 5 credits available that I don't recall having,where did these come from? I also noticed that all my 13/14 tune files disappeared from the folders they were in with the exception of stock files for all model years.
I did find the unlocked vft.zip files for b13 and 14 in my downloads folder. Will opening either those use the 5 credits or can I use the 5 credits to unlock another ECU? And last but not least do I have to upgrade to the latest version of VFTune or can I continue to use the version I have.

 

The new credits are to unlock your VIN for flashing. Please update vF Tuner, and use the new version. There is a new flasher. Vehicles must now be registered.
Changes were made due to piracy.

installing / uninstalling vF Tuner does not make any changes to your tune files. They remain where ever you download and extract them to.

@OVTune, neither vF build 1.2.7.0 nor 1.2.9.9.2 could flash a 35F51 2016 4runner with either of the tune pack tunes nor the stock tune, came back unsuccessful every time. Voltage at 12.4-12.5. This was following successful TS update from 35F50 to 35F51.

With 1.2.9.9.2 I hit Prepare ECU, I spent the credits to unlock the VIN, it confirmed a good connection...should've been g2g...

Any ideas? Maybe something I'm not aware of with the 4runners?

 

Does this mean I will no longer be able to flash different vehicles with the same ECU version and tune pack that I have already paid to unlock?

 

You can, but you'll just have to spend 4 credits to do so. Credit prices dropped though. $80 gets you 8. Make sure that if you were using the previous version of vF that you take those 4 extra credits you recently received and use them on your truck's VIN (if/when you update vF).

I thought nobody would pay attention to that ....Thanks, #4runnerLivesMatter, My 4r is a pig, dont know how people on stock gears uses 35s and full armor.....I'm only on 33s and that things is giving me 12mpg.

 

I've been pinging Mat about 4R tuning since April of last year when the wife got her 2020 lol

 

I would like to see 4R stuff as well I get a lot of requests for it.

If I wanted to fully lock out out the torque converter so it will not unlock in ect pwr mode. Would I just max out all cells in TQ unlocking 5th gear gear 3 to 655.349?
