I tried the retrograde spray up the AC drain tube. Did not work. I have the ac line mod (extension using tube).
Anyone know of a for sure fix to the HVAC smell in the cab?

change your cabin air filter. Disinfect the filter housing.

Hey when you drive with the ac on it gets condensation ect all throughout the system. Before you turn off your truck, run neutral air through and it should help dry it out. Dealing with that issue myself and found that if I do this about 1 to 2 minutes out from parking, it takes care of it.

The problem occurs due to AC condensation moisture build up in the interior evaporator. The best way to combat this is to run your system when your truck is on even if the AC is not on. I'm going on near 10 years ownership of my 12 and because I frequently run the system due to knowing this my system does not have a foul odor smell from the HVAC and if it does it is incredibly minimal.

Additionally you can further negate smells by switching to a carbon cabin air filter. Hope this helps.
