Do you see anything wrong with mounting the 1225 bcdc charger underneath bed of the truck as long as i run DEI heat wrap for all the wiring and make sure its zip tied every 18-24”? I’d mount it high enough it wouldn’t be taking any rubs scrapes or hits if i bottomed out or anything. I just know I’ve read to mount it as closely to the aux battery as possible

 

Nothing wrong with it, other than not being able to get a good visual on it to function check. As long as its protected, the internals are encased in a polymer so they will be fine. Is the AUX battery going to be in the bed?

 

Any deals coming UP? I need a rear panel... it ripped

 

Well I did buy a universal redarc bcdc charger mount but I just have no where to mount battery under the hood of my truck unless I were to figure a way to mount it in front of the radiator as well. The plan for now is to mount the secondary battery underneath the storage bin of the bed of the truck. The storage bin in the bed would actually fit the 1225 just about perfect tbh

 

Has anyone that order last week had their top ship yet? I received tracking the same day and the Softopper site shows "shipped", but the status on Fedex has said "pending" for 6 days.

 

Same and I paid for 2 day fed ex shipping. A tad annoyed but only bc they gave a shipping number saying it would be delivered March 23rd the day after I ordered it and now it’s saying pending and fed ex can’t retrieve my tracking info

 

I was in that boat as well, but I think that may have been FedEx as they had sent out a service warning that the rockies were having a storm and things were delayed. Mine is slated to arrive today though from an order I did on March 11th.

 

I ordered mine 03/01/21 & it arrived 03/11/21... The update communications were frequent and pretty accurate

 

I am about to order a Softopper for my 2nd Gen..... I see in some pictures that the topper goes above the cab height while some do not? Is that a thing or am I just going blind? Ive also read that its just the way some people install them, and maybe has something to do with their tensioners? I do not want it to go above the cab height.

Also, when comparing, how does anybody think a Bestop looks better? lol I think they are such eye-sores to look at. Softopper all the way

 

Besttop now owns softtopper or they are made by same manufacturer. I went softtopper and paid for 2 day fed ex shipping two Thursdays ago and I haven’t received it yet. I hope to have mine Monday or Tuesday this week

Here's a side view on my AC

 

I ended up going with the Softopper (installed mine today, in fact); however I heavily considered the BEstop Supertop.

Pros for Bestop: Tinted rear window, black hardware, 3rd brake light included.
Cons for Bestop: No one has them. Don't care for the side windows.

Pro for Softopper: Available in grey. Solid sides. Available.
Cons for the Softopper: I had to make up my own 3rd brake light, though I did end up adding turn signals as well, so kind of a wash now. Rear window is clear instead of tinted.

 

Which option did you utilize for your third brake light? I've ordered and returned several not being satisfied with them once in hand

Yours looks like it fits perfect. Ive seen some higher and further spaced from the cab.
