Does anyone know what folding bed cover will work with Yakima bed racks?
I have a retrax now but it takes up to much of the bed so I would like a folding cover and adjustable bed racks, do they exist? I have a 2014 Tacoma double cab short bed.
    Thanks

I think due to the way they mount, that might be an uphill battle. Just looking at their OverHaul HD set up, looks like they make a Track System Mount Kit, mounting the uprights to the deck rail. Part of the problem there is you'll have the rack mounts, sitting inside the bed rails. Pretty much every tonneau cover on the market mount either on top or parallel (inside mount) to the bed rails, which is exactly where the OverHaul is mounting.

The Retrax XR, Pace UltraGroove and TCU are all retractable that have rails with t-slots, designed to mount accessories like the OverHaul, but then you'll run into canister space issues. I've seen a few racks that sit underneath top mount covers. While it wouldn't work with an OverHaul, it might give you options with a top mount hard folding cover?

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
I may have found the solution with kB voodoo and tonneau mx4. Chad at kB voodoo has made brackets that work with the backflip mx4 and 14” or 18” rack. I’m pretty excited about it.
    Thanks

I am interested in a roof basket that’s black, aluminum and doesn’t break the bank.
    I have a 2014 Tacoma xsp

That's awesome. We don't deal with them, but once you get it installed, I'd love to see some pics on how the brackets sit. That would open up a ton of possibilities, as the rails for the MX4 are very similar to most inside mount hard folding covers. If it works with the MX4, it should work with several others too.

While we don't sell them, the BajaRacks have been pretty popular. They're a bit more expensive then some options, but they mount into the factory inserts. Same with Prinsu, Victory4x4, etc. Without a set of OEM rails, you'll either need a rack that bolts into the inserts, (See here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0347/8749/1972/t/3/assets/TYTCM-SeriesSFA-0-1605819680358.pdf) or you'll need a set of cross bars that you can mount a basket to. Yakima, Thule and Rhino Rack all sell cross bars that will mount without drilling, and then you would add a basket to the cross bars.

Regarding Retrax and the Yakima Overhaul HD rail kit and rack, I think it's the best "looking" system, but be wary of the dynamic weight on it. There's been issues with the bolts bending the retrax rails the rack mounts to, and while Yakima has said they're working on it, I wouldn't put anything really valuable up there until the issue is resolved. I think the dynamic weight rating is 180lbs offroad. It's a great-looking rack and the adjustable bar height is really nice, but for now I think the TracracSR (no adjustable height, sadly) and bars that match with the Bak tonneau covers is the best option for a full-height tonneu/rack combo that can carry boats/tents. I do like the Voodoo rack but for my needs it's not ideal (boat spacing).

they just dangle underneath. since i can't see it, it hasn't been a point of contention for me.
