Owners manual says to take it to the dealer. Maybe just resetting will work, but if not what should I check first? Thanks

Take it to dealer. Don’t mess with it at all.

I removed all the crap my wife had stored under the passenger seat and checked the connections... no more SRS light!

no storage under seat! shame! most air bag lights will self clear/go history once problem is gone. say you take seat out of vehicle. turn truck on light will come on. turn truck off re install seat. light will go out. code will still be there but will self clear after certain number of ignition cycles
