It is not binary. (i.e. performance vs. looks)- While the throw and output is average or adequate the looks based on the price point make it a viable purchase. Are my new headlights that of my wife's 2019 RDX A-Spec? Not even close. But they get the job done in the lighting department and their look is above average at a solid price point and it saves me the grief from prying open my OEM headlight in a futile attempt to de-chrome them.

I like your upgrade on the mod. - can you link me to the site where you got those Morimoto H7b(s)?

Looks like Tacomabeast offers options for the SR/SR5 models. I'm assuming that's because those models don't have the LED strip? Only thing I can think of. Makes it compatible for those models.

I still haven't heard anything. I don't see why it wouldn't be like that. Our "DRL" now is just a multi filament bulb

Thanks for the post. Can you let me know which H7 Bulbs you installed? It seems you need to get ones that fit into the hole in the housing. Thanks!

I went with Morimoto Elite HID's. I had to shave a very little on the backside of the cover so the bulbs would fit, but that is all I had to do.

How many owners are waiting until the new 2020 LED headlights become a Toyota part number?

I think the cost of the oem ones are going to be not worth it. People are already complaining that $1200 is too much for the Morimoto xb led housings, I bet oem are going to be more than that

Do you know if the 55w version of the Morimoto kit would harm the housing? I really need to upgrade the lights that came with the headlights.
