I was thinking about it the other day and thought it might be a good idea to come up with some challenges we all could accomplish this year.

First one is the “Mileage Challenge”. Starting April 1st through either October 1st or 31st the TW’s with the most miles rode wins the challenge. On April 1st, everyone who wishes to participate would post a picture of their odometer with a post it or index card with their username and date. At the end, the one with the most miles on their ODO minus the initial mileage wins. Prize could be a special user tag like “2021 TW Iron Butt Champ”. This would totally be based on the honor system so no cheating!

Also thought about a “spelling bee” challenge where we decide on specific motorcycle related terms and you ride around to different destinations to spell out the words. Say the word “Pillion” you could ride to towns that start with each letter of the word and spell it out, combine pics of the bike in front of a sign, post office, etc into one post to spell the word.

these are just things I was thinking of the last few days and by no means have they been refined but I thought it might be something fun for the regular ‘s to do and have fun doing so.

Please no wheelie or stoppie/endo challenges as I think keeping it legal and safe is one of my goals.

    thoughts?

    Dang.

Not that I can do wheelies, but this summer my riding goal was to learn to do them effortlessly.

I'm not sure I'll have an ODO come April 1 but I'll post up here when it arrives and I can get to riding in earnest.

Trying to keep things within the code of conduct for TW and not endorsing behavior that’s contrary to it.

Even though I wouldn't be in the running to win anything I think it'd be fun. Might motivate me to commute to work on the bike more frequently this summer :)

I'm in, my new bike is due to arrive anywhere from tomorrow to Sunday i think..so just in time for this "challenge." With more traffic commuting to work, i will probably be riding 3 days a week and most weekends. Bring yo A game.

I highly doubt I'd win, but I'm down for a mileage comp.

Other thoughts: highest altitude, highest temp ridden, lowest temp ridden (retroactive back to my 13 degree day? ;))

We could also have a post a pic of your bike in front of x. Who ever meets the challenge picks the next item to have a pic with your bike.

Can we do a low mileage challenge? I'd be shoe in for that.
