I got the whole 3rd member and clamshell from east coast gear supply and did the install myself. there is a core charge added in with this but this will give you an idea if i recall the core was $800 for the front and rear

    Are you planning on re-gearing?

The rear ran me $17XX and some change with gears and a compressor. I ended up doing front gears with no locker later for $700ish.

    All though ECGS.

Good god, please tell me that’s front and rear locked and geared!

There’s no substantiating artifacts or technical documentation that support that 8.75, 8.8 and 8.9 are all the same.

Toyota and everyone specifically refers to it as an 8.75. The only information I can find are typos in marketing. Hopefully that’s all it is.

    Seems odd

I've read that it's 8.9". Interesting though, ARB RD232 lists the locker as 32 spline 8.75", 8.8" and 8.9" on different sites, all the same RD232.

Hmm that’s curious. I wonder where that’s coming from?? I feel like I’m missing something.

In either case, glad to see other options coming out.

Is the rear actually metric and everyone measures it different in inches? Don't know exactly.

Edit, here's what Jeff Lange says

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/which-models-have-which-size-differential.388610/

    L4 5MT: 8.8" 3.91:1 without Locker
    L4 6AT: 8.0" 4.30:1 without Locker

    V6 6MT Except TRD Off-Road: 8.8" 4.30:1 without Locker
    V6 6MT TRD Off-Road: 8.8" 4.30:1 with Locker

    V6 6AT Except TRD Off-Road: 8.0" 3.91:1 without Locker
    V6 6AT TRD Off-Road: 8.8" 3.91:1 with Locker

I have some of the info on the discrepancies.... the short of it, the the Taco Bx22 diffs have a slightly larger bolt pattern than the previous Bx22 Supra 8.7"/220mm and the LC 200 8.7"/220mm. Being that they are all 22 series diffs, one would think they are all 220mm pattern, but that is not so. Toyota even lists the inches measurement for the Taco at 8.8".
