His profile says Off Road, and I just saw he listed Manual Trans, so its gotta be double cab.

Seat is leaned back a bit but I don't have issues seeing out the window. Left side of my head is about inch away from the lowest part. Every Toyota I have driven I've the seat back and leaning so I guess I'm used to it. Would I miss the roof if it wasn't there? No but it is and its a nice feature and all the other tech and JBL more than offset it.

Im 6'4" with 34" inseam aka long torso and shorter legs. I almost didn't get a yota because of headroom. I didn't get the moonroof and I have about an inch headroom.

    I live in Colorado.
My truck is actually a double-cab TRD Offroad. The special order started because I wanted a manual transmission and no sunroof in blue - and blue was one of the two "premium" colors in 2016.
My dealer said he could make no guarantees, but that he could edit the truck details and submit the order. For me, it worked.

The only Tacoma Model that has the Sunroof as Standard equipment is the Limited, otherwise you have to get the Premium and Tech Package to get the Sunroof on Sport and Off Road Models. Your Truck sounds like you just have an Off Road without the P&T Package, what does your Rear Bumper look like, is it Chrome or Blue?

    It's a chrome rear bumper.

Good deal, the Chrome Bumper means that the Truck does not have the Premium and Tech Package which explains why there is no Sunroof.

Yep. That's me. 6'2" here, but my brother calls me the "world's largest midget". My legs are stupid short. It actually makes this truck fit really well for me I think, but the moonroof wasn't going to work. My hair was touching it without even going over a bump.

Blue was a "premium" color in 2016? Your salesman is great at his job. Im glad you got what you wanted, that's all that matters, but you didn't get a special made truck just for you. You got a TRD Off road in Blazing Blue Pearl with manual trans without the P&T package.

6'2" with 2016 Limited, I recline the seat back slightly so my head clears. I think I would have to recline the seat anyway just to see out the windshield. Ideally lower seats would be awesome but....or a taller roof.

Your 3 choices to get around a Sunroof is gonna be to go Access Cab with P&T, Double Cab with no P&T, or a TRD Pro, good luck with your decision.

6’2” with longer torso, fit just fine in my new 21 TRD OR with moon roof. If I really try I can hit my head on the ceiling but I can also do that on my 19 4Runner with moon roof and 18 access cab with no moon roof.
