So I’m pulling my engine ( 2.7L 99 PreRunner 3RZFE) this weekend and I wanna know what size bolts I have to use so that I can mount it to the engine stand. Anybody have any idea? I wanna have the bolts before I do anything ☺️

I’m wondering if they’ll be long enough.

They work on my harbor freight engine stand. They are a odd size. Hardware stores local didn’t have them. I want to say 10x1.75 but don’t quote me on the size. You can find the 10x1.25 fairly easy but not the fine thread ones you need

This answered my question. I bought the HF 1ton stand and wasn’t sure if they would work.

Just be careful if it’s the 3 wheel stand, I had a3rz fall over and crack the intake manifold. I’d spend a few more bucks and get a 4 wheel stand, much more stable

Mos def, I didn’t want the T configuration because I heard of people having this problems. I went with the H instead.

@pairodice is correct on them being fine thread bolts, but their M12s and just for clarity sake the fine thread number is a m12x1.25 and the course thread is the larger number. When I pulled the 3rz in mine I ordered up bolts from Ace Hardware, they had em available in their Hillman aisle.

I didn't think of using the Bellhousing bolts:laughing:

Most bellhousing bolts won't be long enough depending on the stand. You have anywhere from 1-3" of engine stand to go through.

They are an odd size. When I put my 300zx engine on the stand, I had to re-tap an M10x1.25 bolt to be M10x1.75 because it’s an uncommon thread pattern.

You should re-tap each bolt on the block different to mess with the new owner. Throw in some SAE to top it off.
