Some dealers are good and some dealers aren't...

You can get aftermarket mirror with homelink which other posters stated above.. You can find it via ebay or Amazon.

Yes. More you drive, it will get better.

The 3rd brake light leak issue was on 2016 model. I have a '17 and no leak. HVAC drain tube is easy. I haven't heard of the needle bearing issue, Explain?

    Mostly dust and dirt.
This post makes me realize that the Ford Ranger is the only problem-free one million truck on the market today.

Needle bearings are for trucks lifted over 3 inches
brake light leaks were 2016-2017 only
you dont pull the headliner for any bulbs, the 3rd brake light is LED on double cabs and you cant replace it anyways.
HVAC tubes blocking is not very common at all.

If you are getting a extended cab and not a double cab, you have a different 3rd brake light anyways that has screws on the outside, but also didnt have leaks.

I believe it was raised to 18 for a leaky 3rd. I haven’t had the issue but I do worry- backseat/kids/mold

here is the conclusion (for now)

The dealer farmed out to a collision/body shop, they confirmed they are using seem sealer, same as all the forums recommend. They applied a good bit, much more points than the factory, they do not however do the ENTIRE length of all the places the hood and under-hood support meet. I have noticed the issue is gone and dont notice it moving any more so I am sure this is sufficient, just may not last as long as some of the pics I have seen on here where they fill every inch with the sealer..... they also dont seem to have taken the old failed sealant off to replace with new, but rather just replaced around it, so not blown away with the repair but it does seem to have done the trick for now. If it fails again Ill do it myself as recommended on here but am not unpleased with this result.

it is normal in that it happens to a lot of tacoma hoods, but it is not intended to do that and should be fixed/covered by warranty. Your dealer just probably didnt know about this issue or didnt want to fix it. I would try again and see if they will fix it for you
