    Mostly dust and dirt.
    If it’s not the steering lock then the ignition cylinder is probably supplied by Ford.
    From personal experience I’ve come to the conclusion that Ford uses ignition cylinders made out of old Studebaker hub caps.

    No offense meant to Studebaker.

    I also tried moving the steering wheel a little. It just happens maybe once a month.

    My old 2003 mercedes occasionally did this as well. Usually bc i turned in and parked without straighting the steering wheel. Seems like the times it happened on the Taco the steering wheels was straight

    It happens with every toyota i've ever driven for the last 20 years or so, even on occasion with my 2020 sr5. All you you need to do is jiggle the steering wheel some, and it will unlock.

    How do you not know its the steering wheel lock really did you just get your license. Every car I've ever owned does this
