Hello guys. My 2007 DCLB TRD Sport had a 6" lift on it when I bought it. I am new to the whole "lift world" but have read that rear spacer blocks are bad about causing axle warp.
When I bought the Tacoma it was low by about 1.5" in the rear.
Had the new springs installed by Toyota on recall last year but didn't help rear sag.
The technician at Toyota asked me if I wanted to keep the rear helper springs that had been put on when he replaced the original leaf springs. I told him yes to keep them on.

Fast forward I had hoped the leaf replacement would raise the rear up to be more level with the front. It didn't move it noticeably at all.
So I took a measurement and determined there was an 1.5" drop in the rear and I ordered some larger blocks (3") and installed them. Worked perfect to level the truck.

Now I am wondering if that was a mistake and if so what are the alternatives to leveling the back to the front without breaking the bank?
FYI I don't really do any rock climbing or trail blazing. Mostly highway and city driving.

A custom leaf pack that gives the lift you want or removing the lift. Removing it can be hard and/or expensive with a drop bracket lift.

You have already done the solution that won't break the bank. If your truck works for you as it is now then great!

Don't be surprised if you do experience axle wrap or that the replacement leaf pack begin sagging with the 3" blocks. If you are lacking just 1.5" for the rear, why not just do an aal instead?

Blocks for the rear are 3". So even if I somehow compensate for half that I still have 1.5 inch blocks in rear. What is aal?

Take some photos of the suspension up front. Get behind the wheel. Take phots from the front and back.
Take a photo squatting down in front of the truck showing the frame and include the wheels.

Take photos of the rear suspension - lift block, front and rear of leaf springs, show as much as you can.

Post them here. Then we can help a whole lot more remotely.

    Lift, tires, stuff
Add-a-leaf - you add a leaf spring to the rear to achieve higher lift.

For the add a leaf, how do you know which spring will give you the correct lift height?
It already has one helper spring on it.

Lower it please. You will get a much better experience in your driving conditions and it will still be able to handle light off road duties. Your fuel economy will improve, so while it may be a little expensive, it will pay for itself if you drive the truck long enough. Just my 2 cents. Post the pictures requested above and we can work from there.

What kind of lift is still in the front? Is there a body lift as well?

I have large tires and rims (33" or 34" not sure) on it so I am not really wanting to lower it. It could potentially cause tire rub issues and I don't want to get into cutting and chopping as I don't have the equipment for that. Plus I do prefer the look the 6" lift gives the truck.
I will try to get some pics tomorrow posted. Today is slammed.

Sorry but since I am kind of a newbie on lift knowledge I don't know how to know or answer this question. I was told by the previous owner the brand lift is Fabtech. That is all I know about it.
How do I know if there is a "body lift" on it?

There are cab mounts at the radiator, just behind the front wheels, and at the rear corners of the cab floor. Normally there’s just a donut like bushing at those locations but with a body lift there’s also additional blocks. Most do suspension lifts instead but sometimes you see body lifts and/or. If you’re not off-roading and aren’t trying for the mall queen look then look into doing a sell/trade back to the stock front suspension to lower the front again instead of lifting the rear so that you don’t have to worry about axle wrap. You should easily find takers.

OP, you have a 6" fabtech drop bracket lift. The crossmember has been cut and removed for the lift so undoing it will include a body shop to fabricate a new crossmember or find a donor tacoma. Not easy or cheap. Removing blocks is not the problem.
