I seem to recall a ball mount coming with my Tacoma as part of the tow package. Does anyone know what the drop is on it ? Is it a 2” drop ball mount?

I have a ball mount don’t know where it came from but it’s 3.25” drop snd I can’t see Toyota including that much drop

it’s 2” drop. Just found it behind some stuff. Mystery where the 3.25 came from

So your forced to buy a 2" drop for the receiver hitch even if you need a 4" drop.

    Interesting

Most dealers match the amount of drop to what you need.

How could you possibly drop 4” on a stock Taco????

I run drop axle trailers and I need about 2.5.

2” would be ideal for almost everything else

How do you drop 7” on a stock Tacoma. This is drop axle and it runs great at 2.5 or even 2

    Wow.
Toyota cover 90% or more of trailers w/2” drop. Pretty much all landscape /utility will work. Can’t possibly drop 7” if your stock on those

while it might be a toyota part number, the ball mount is not included in the tow package. Its an OEM accessory.

This another of my trailers, drop axle and smaller tires than one in other pic. Almost level w/2” drop.

can you post pic of stock taco w/7” drop ball. Can’t visualize anything low enough to hitch to it
