Hey guys, just a question for you who have retrofitted the D2S 5.0's. I'm installing on a 2012-2015 style headlight. They come with a H4 positioning washer which basically aligns the projector for you in the housing. It does however allow a couple mm of rotation in either direction. Have you guys been installing the projectors in the housing and test fitting the headlights on the vehicle to check the cutoff is level before tightening down the hardware and applying some JB weld? It's an extra step that is very time consuming, but ultimately I feel may be necessary to achieve a level cutoff. There isn't much room to rotate the projector with the positioning washer installed, like I mentioned only a few mm in either direction. Could always file down the tabs to allow more rotation of the projector and alignment washer if necessary though. Curious to hear what you've done, thanks!

A few mods here and there and counting....
I didn't rely on the alignment ring. I filed down the ring, installed the partial retrofit set on the truck and made sure it was leveled before cranking down the lock ring. Extra bit of time/effort but necessary to avoid ripping the headlight apart again.
