    I have never posted but I can't keep quiet about this tune. I tuned my truck basically driving of the lot when I bought my 2020 last summer, so I have no experience with the stock tune. I ran OV 2.0 for most of the summer and played with all the community tunes that have come out in the past 6 months.

    Most recently I was on Kruzer 4.0 which was great but with all the positive reviews I thought I would try KDMAX 6.0. All I have to say is holy **** this truck just wants to fly. Power when I want it, smooth shifting and the engine now sounds like to should. On past tunes it seemed to almost whine a little but on KDMAX it growls hahah. If there is anyone on the fence I would say go for it, as other have said in the past this is how the truck should have come from factory.

    I bought vF when it was cheap, but used OV to install my current tune 2.0.
    Is there a guide somewhere to getting vF up and running? Can I use my OV donegal to push/connect VF?

    KDMax pro 9.0
    Just got this KDMAX 6.0 performance 91 tune. I was from ovtune 2.0 premium tune. All I can say is All 3rd gen tacoma should have this kdmax tune . Those who don't have this is missing ALOT. My taco now feels like it lost a lot of weight. Gets off the line/drives on the freeway effortlessly. Great on gas too. I don't know how kreg and Dave does it. 5th and 6th gear are perfect. I thought ovtune 2.0 was the greatest until I tried this kdmax 6.0. If I was a toyota engineer, this should be on all 3rd gens. If you're holding off if you want this or not, all I can say is JUST DO It!!!!

    Just got the KDMax tune this morning at about 9am. I’ll start off by saying I’m not familiar with tuning or anything like that other than what the kids do for their imports. What I do know is that since having the tune This truck is a different animal. Very smooth I am not conscience at all of the shifting. Pedal response had me concerned prior to the tune I was considering getting the lesser tip in. But I have to say it’s perfect it drives like a dream. Not only does my truck look the way I want it it drives better than I wanted it to now. I was a little torn in the beginning because I was super stoked at how good it performed. Then I thought this is the way it should have performed from the get-go. Thank you K&D tuning for making my truck complete and thank you Dave for coming out to my house to do the work. It was a pleasure meetingyou and as soon as I get some more time in the truck I’ll report on the mpg. I cannot recommend this tune more highly. I’m out driving it right now and enjoying every second of it. I will be forcing my friends who drive a 3rd Gen to get this done! Seriously though highly recommended!!

    P.S. I posted this in The other K&D thread as well just so those interested could get my opinion of it.

    So I've installed the OV 2.0 on my new '21 TRD Off Road. Happy w/improvement over stock V6. Sounds like this KDMAX 6.0 is even better. True? If so, what is the cost for the 4 tune pack and can I use my OVtune tongle to install it?

    Hi, I'm a newbie with this tuning thing. I have a 21 sport and would like to get it tuned. Is their anybody in NH,MA, that does tunes? Also if I was to do it myself what would I need? VF tune? Which version? Their is one for 200.00 and one for 349.00. Then I'm assuming the right file (KDMax) What's the cost for that? Thanks.

    If no one is close, you have to buy the $349 vftuner to get the cable and the software.

    The truck drives very smooth with a consistent power band starting from the low rpms and overall its super peppy compared to stock. it feels great, like a v6 should:) Theres significant low end power gains on every gear, and 1st and 2nd feel significantly better. Throttle response is way better and it seems to shift smoother now when I'm letting out the clutch. I can feel the boost in power through the clutch too. Still on my second tank, and Dave said the ecu learning generally takes 3 tanks.

    You'll be glad you got it done! I'm having a blast driving it.
