Hi gals and guys. Name is Jeff. Am prepping to haul more cargo, thus air shocks.

I make runs from New Mexico deep into Mexico.
Sometimes a camper shell is not enough for extra cargo.
Sometimes a trailer is too much hassle and expense.

So, I put an extender platform that runs from the top of my camper shell
all the way forward to a few inches past my windshield (no visibility problems).

The challenge will be the added weight.

Therefore, I am thinking of adding rear air shocks, since most of the weight will
be mid to back of truck.

Do any of you have any recommendations for rear air shocks so I can raise the rear 2 to 3 inches? I am sure the shocks on my 99 are the originals.

    Thanks.

Welcome to the TW forum Jeff

I know Air-Shocks have come a long way since I dealt with them, with that being said have you
considered a mild suspension modification ?

I bring this up as if something malfunctioned with the Air-Shocks deep in Mexico you will still
have a weight concern until the issue is addressed.

Any pictures of rig with it's set up :D
