I was driving today and noticed that my truck was making a static noise. Throughout the day , it got worse. It didn’t sound like the stereo was going, it was playing everything fine. I figured it was the connection with my phone. I restarted my phone , updated it , even erased and re-added the phone to the radio. It turns on fine, screen pops up etc. just no sound at all now. Anyone ever experience this and or fixed it?

No idea. But you might start by pulling the trim around the stereo and making sure a wire didn’t come loose behind it. It’s super easy on 3rd gen, but I honestly have no idea what 2nd gens even look like inside. Probably worth a shot. Good luck.

Check the antenna. Did you go through a car wash lately?

Do they work, or is the whole shebang dead?

That’s dead also. The whole thing stopped playing last night. Everything else on the touch screen works fine. Just no sound

It's unlikely any wiring has come undone if no one has ever been in the dash messing with stuff. However, it's free to slip it out and look

So if my '13 does that, it will be replaced with an Android Auto unit of some type. There is no Entune function I'd miss. Ever.

Maybe try holding down power button for hard restart...
