Exactly, I got new hold down rods from Parts Source/Canadian Tire and painted them red with stainless washer and lock nut.

Peel them off, see how bad/where the discoloration is. Then seek a sticker that will cover it. There are tons of options. I wouldn’t buy a sticker before knowing where/what you need to cover.

I used to flip back seats down for my dog before he passed away last year. He was good so never had to worry about anything like door interior except for the drool. Worked nicely and flat spot for him to sit lay or stand.

My biggest issue with them are the two asterisks next to that 8400lb rating that are never extrapolated upon. I even downloaded the install instructions to see if maybe it was explained in there.

The ARB's recovery point also gets bonus points for allowing greater angles of recovery since the d ring can rotate more freely due to its lateral orientation, rather than the horizontal set up.

The ARB is the gold standard, no question. I have ordered both the passenger and driver side points from BPF and plan to use both with an equalizer strap in the case of extraction. I am confident that between that and the hitch mounted shackle receiver, I will be well covered.

 

Just finished my every 4 mth truck detail:
1) wash with high detergent soap to remove old wax (Purple Power)
2) Citrol to clean exterior windows
3) Goo Gone to remove bugs/sap from paint
4) Clay bar all paint surfaces
5) Use mixture of mineral spirits/water to remove old wax and soap residue
6) Wax truck using meguiars ultimate paste wax
7) Treat black external trim with 303 protectant
8) Drink a beer
I think that starting with a completely clean surface before waxing prolongs the new wax
Never tried any of the ceramic coatings. Might be better and simpler. Will have to research that.

Next time I need to repaint the sliders. Starting to get dinged up.

I carry a dog crate on the backseat and another one in the bed. The one in the bed is if she’s wet; the one inside is if she’s dry. Dogs feel secure in the crate and keeps the inside of my truck clean. Also much safer for them

This has been asked and answered a long time ago. The double ** represents that a shackle must also be rated the same as the recovery. Obviously if you use a 6k shackle you will not have over 8k pulling strength.

 

My dogs have never been crated. My dog would be fine but my girlfriends would lose his mind. She’s baby’d him his whole life. He’s a shit. But a softtopper with rubber bed mat would probably be ok.

Yeahhh mine was a stray/trash mouth dumpster diving mountain dog. She is a great dog as long as you don’t leave food/trash out. The other one is “sensitive”. Cry baby mommas boy.
