When I had my front driver's side wheel off the ground I rotated it! half way into the rotation it grabbed a bit like it had a warped rotor then went free again and I noticed that the front drive shift rotated as well then stopped spinning. It's not in 4 wheel and shouldn't be spinning? As I tried the passenger side it spun free and didn't rotate the front shift. Is my front diff screwed? I know cv shafts always spin but the drive shaft shouldn't if not in 4 wheel.

Front shaft is connected to the diff., front drvr cv is connected to the diff, so yes the the front shaft can and will turn with the drvr side wheel. The pass. side is disconnected from the diff. with the ADD in 2wd.

    What your seeing is normal.

Perfectly normal. Try the same thing on the rear wheels when the diff is open and you’ll see the driveshaft spin. spinning the front passenger wheel will not yield same same results due to the center axle disconnect in 2wd
