Don't get ones that don't have any bracing underneath, like those.

So after using my boss’s Bauer portaband for a couple weeks and getting some good use out of it, I decided to go pick up one for myself. I have dewalt everything but didn’t wanna spend $300 for a portaband. Bought this one for $130 and then bought the swag Offroad portaband table. Got both for the price of the dewalt portaband. It’s a game changer for cutting small parts and stuff.

Not gonna lie, I kinda forgot portabands existed. Now I don't have an excuse to not cut my tube steel and finish my sliders....

If you’re considering HF ramps these would be a better choice.

It’s not the first, second, or third cutting tool that comes to mind when I’m fabricating things but I am really happy I have one now hahaha

Yes swag Offroad. Make sure that the table fits whatever portaband you have. There are like 4 versions of the table and they need to be compatible with your portaband

I bought some pressure treated 2 x 10's and the just cut them down to allow for the 2 x 10's to "step" up with each piece slightly shorter than the previous. The good: It will never compress, rot, dig into the ground with weight on them, or collapse. The not so good: They are not light at all and with the price of lumber they might now be more expensive than some of the other options out there!:spending:

Good buy.. Even for cutting "big" things. The secret is in the blade you use. Mine has lasted for a few years now, bought it back at $80. I need to replace some plastic parts now since it sits outside. I also bought the swag mount/table. Good investment.

For sure dude! I’m super stoked on it. We’re all tool junkies here haha. Just another tool to get the job done. But it’s nice to have a lot of options haha

Thanks, I noticed they are beefier and the welds on the Torin jacks look perfect. Much better than the scary HF crap.

I just noticed one of my 3 ton HF floor jacks is crapping out also.
I had the rear axle jacked up for a while, came back and it was almost on the floor.
Only three years old too. Good excuse to buy a better one.
Gee "honey" (wife), "who's gonna take the garbage out when I've packed my bags and gone" due to a HF defective floor jack?

They’re relatively easy to rebuild BTW. It’s usually just the seals that crap out. If you search the model number some places will actually sell rebuild kits with all the right sized o rings. I have two jacks and rebuilt each of them with a generic hydraulic oil resistant o ring kit.

The last jack I bought from Harbor Freight came with a rubber O ring in a plastic bag. Maybe I need to look into using it.
