I have a 2008 Tacoma DCSB Prerunner V6 with 69,000 miles on it. It is serviced/maintained at recommended intervals and I use premium fuel. I have a company vehicle which explains the low mileage. I typically put 100-150 miles/month on the Tacoma. About once/year, I'll take a longer road trip in it.

I noticed the following after running a few errands yesterday. Everything seems to be operating fine, temperature when running is normal, no leaks under vehicle, the motor is clean, no lights illuminated on the dash, etc. The residue was chalky (not oily) and wiped completely away very easily.

I drove a 600 mile road trip last week. I cleaned/washed my Tacoma afterwards and has been parked in the garage since yesterday.

Any ideas what might be the cause?
