Looking into a new fridge. I need the biggest one(height wise) that I can fit under my Diamondback. Dometic CFX 45 should fit, but I also want to build a low profile sliding tray. What say you folks??

Where do you exhaust the heat when the fridge is under the cover?

The fridge generates very little heat. It only draws like an amp when running

I made a DIY fridge slide to fit my Dometic 75DZ under my Diamondback cover.
I used square tube welded to angle iron and sheet metal, anchored the rear with T nuts to C channels. Simple but works great.

Honestly, your build was my inspiration. I’ve been looking for your post on this slide but couldn’t find it. Do you mind giving more info on the slide? Where did you find the rails? How does the tray slide in the rails?

Glad it helped! The build is under the voodoo rack diamond back thread I made. I also posted a build thread on the Overland Bound DIY section. www.shorturl.at/acnoz

We're still not sure. I hope to receive some inventory updates in the next week that I can then share.

I'll report back as soon as I have some better info! Be sure to keep an eye on our CFX3 Mega Thread as we'll likely post the info there first.

Hey I’m honored. I looked at other trucks too. No one reinvents the wheel, except maybe for my kitchen........ :)

Hey man! that slide for the domestic looks amazing, anyway you can share with me what and where you bough everything needed to make it happen?

I want this fridge and I am getting the cover soon, but seems that the OEM slides will not fit in our bed :( with the Diamond, meaning most likely only option is the DYI

Not trying to step outta line here, but I think I can answer since I copied his design.
Not sure we’re he got his materials from, but I went to my local steel supply and fabbed it myself. Found some table saw tracks on Amazon, and bolted them in the bed. Welded two T nuts to the frame, then skinned the bottom with some thin aluminum. Painted it black and put it to work. I ended up mounting it on the drivers side, that’s why the pics show both sides. Sorry for all the pics.....I like visuals.

love visuals! But this looks dope man.
If it fits your interest I could pay you for you to make that fab piece for me and we’ll the rails and all of that if you got that in a store I can get it. But I am not a fan person haha..

It seems that this the only way to fit a dometic with slider in our cover.

These dometics are good, expensive, but they work well. They are about $900 bucks.

For coolers, the best I've ever had was made by CANYON out of Flagstaff.
Using a Block of Ice to pre-cool the night before, took it on a 16-day trip to Yellowstone setting
out on the lip of the camper, and when we got home there was STILL a block of that thing left.

This was in the summer folks -

If I kept that thing in the bed of the truck under the tonneau cover it would go even longer.

Will NOT keep food 'frozen' but coupled with a bag of ice it keeps meat cold enough to not go bad.

    Beats Yeti by miles.

That’s how I did it, I am currently prototyping a unit for those who don’t weld and it won’t rust. My original did good but I’m on version 3 now and about to build v4 that will be a production unit hopefully.
Have fun guys! I’m headed to Death Valley on Monday for a week
