Skid plate noise, I think. Looking for input on this.

    I've got Mobtown aluminum IFS and trans skids. They are beat up and the bolts are tight. I've got a "clank" coming from the cross member where the back of the trans skid bolts onto. Never had it before but it's getting louder and really happens when the truck is cold from sitting or under flex. I assume it's flex in the chassis but this can't be normal. Any ideas on what it is or how to fix it?

    Try using some nylon washers on the skids. It seemed to help me with all the pops and pings
