It is Federal law that you or the dealer register your tires for recalls ....

I was talking to the shop I got my AT3 tires from and they're waiting on the expanding list of TIN #'s

[IMG] I love these tires they have the best-wet weather traction and they will not wear out, I have been very very pleased.

HOUSTON – Cooper Tire and Rubber Company is recalling 430,000 tires over concerns they can develop sidewall bulges or separate from the sidewall. And that could cause an accident.

The tires are for light trucks and SUVs. They were sold under these model names: Discoverer, Evolution, Courser, Deegan, Adventurer, Hercules, Back Country, Multi-Mile Wild Country, and Big O Tires. They are 18 and 20-inch tires that were manufactured from February 1, 2018, through December 1, 2019.

Cooper says they will contact customers later this month but if you believe you have these tires, you can call Cooper now to get free replacement tires at 800-854-6288. Reference Cooper Tire’s number for this recall: 178.

    Tires recalled:

    Big O AT/T Big Foot (275/65R18), Big O Bigfoot A/S (275/65R18)
    Cooper Adventurer H/T (Pep Boys 275/65R18), Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S (275/65R18), Discoverer A/T3 (275/65R18), Evolution H/T (275/65R18), Discoverer AT3 4S (275/55R20)
Hercules Terra Trac A/T II (275/65R18)
Les Schwab Back Country QS3 Touring HT (275/65R18), Back Country SQ4 All Terrain (275/65R18)
    Mastercraft Courser HSX Tour (275/65R18), Courser AXT (275/65R18, 275/55R20), Courser AXT2 (275/65R18, 275/55R20)
    Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 All-Terrain (275/65R18, 275/55R20)
TBC Multi-Mile Wild Country XTX Sport 4S (275/65R18, 275/55R20), Cooper Discoverer RTX (275/65R18).

Out of curiosity — Can anyone speak on whether a set of stock size AT3 4s (265 70 r16) will improve mpg at all?

they appear to be 4-5 lbs lighter than the stock wranglers.

I’m considering the e rated LTs which will almost certainly make mpg worse...

Mine has been very similar. Maybe 1 or 2 MPG worse, but it's hard to tell since it's just warming up and the MPGs are increasing.

I just picked up a set of 265/75R16 AT3 Load C, and I was pleasantly surprised to see they have the 3-peak Mountain/Snowflake symbol. TireRack.com doesn't indicate that this tire does, but TireBuyer.com did.

Anyone running a 235/85/16 on a 2nd gen? They come in at 40lbs which is not bad, lighter than my 265/75 Wildpeaks in SL load. Got pics? (On any gen)

4S or LT? (Assuming LT since I don't think they make the 4s in C load or the XLT in that size)

Wow interesting. I wonder when that changed or maybe if that's a regional thing? I don't see the LT being snow rated anywhere online.

The only place I've seen the 3 peak mountain snowflake advertised on the LTs is TireBuyer.com, which is where I purchased my set from.

I can't pull up the product page for the the LT on TireBuyer.com. Doesn't appear in search results, and i just get a blank page from google search. :(

Have been debating on the at3 lt and the duratracs. If the at3 lt is severe snow rated, that might win me over.

Hmm... That's really strange as it's not showing for me on TireBuyer.com either now. I just bought four 265/75R16 and a single 235/85R16 (to be used as a spare) from them about a month ago, and all 5 tires have the 3 peak mountain snowflake symbol.

It looks like the 265/75R16 is available on TireRack.com and TireAmerica.com, though (but they don't mention the 3 peak mountain snowflake symbol). Maybe try reaching out to one of these retailers?
