    Hello all,

This would be my second time replacing my fuel pump in my truck in 6 months. Im familiar on how to disconnect the lines by hand. One of my fuel lines from my fuel tank will not disconnect. I believe the light blue push pins have broken on the inside. Does anyone recommend a brand tool to disconnect the lines?Ive seen there's a tool that can be slid in to assist in disconnecting the line.

The line I'm referring too the one with the little yellow clip by your gas cap

    Thanks in advance

These should work, you should be able to find them in any auto parts store. Those things usually get full of dirt and they can be a pain to unhook, if you have access to a blow gun and compressed air you should be able to get it cleaned out.

I've used them with good success. If it's gummed up with dirt yes the tool won't work. I've also used this combination for "hard to reach" ones where you can't get great leverage on them.

Hello! I’ve been combing this page for years just actually signed up!

I have an 07 Tacoma and recently tried to change my fuel pump and ran across this exact problem. Just received the disconnect tool set and pliers. I will let you guys know how it goes!
