Picked up a new (to me) R-Pod last week in Tennessee and drove it back to WV.
As you can see, it is making my front axle very light and I felt it all the way back to WV.
Will a WDH solve the problem? Any recommendation will be appreciated.

Trailer is empty, had very little in the bed.

Definitely wdh. Also upgraded heavy duty leafs and air bags. It would help to know the dry weight of the trailer and the tongue weight.

Looks like a 2018-19 rpod 179. Dry wt around 2750, tongue wt around 295. (I have same model and use Hellwig helpers).

I would get a WDH first and then use the trailer before making any other purchase decisions. I use an Andersen hitch and like how light it is compared to a spring bar style wdh.

WDH will definitely help with your sag. Go with that first before doing any suspension mods

It's the main reason I'm aware WDH exist.

I'm amazed at travel trailer seller that don't force it down your throat. It's a rare case that it would be better forcing stuff to customer, along with brake controller...

Also... Sweet looking trailer. Considering something like this once kids get old enough to not come with us anymore.

When you add the WDH, your tongue weight will increase impacting the Cargo Capacity of the truck.

Mind your tow numbers. Its a balancing act.

It's not like they cost that much especially when buying a trailer. Seems like a missed opportunity for the seller.

Decrease. Load is moved to the front and trailer axle.
Grab a ladder and check for leaks along the trim on both sides. Look at the wall and ceiling joint for gaps. Also check that the trim covering the screws in the joint is intact.

Has the spoiler been resealed? The factory always did a bad job with that one. That leak will cause the staples in the interior ceiling to rust and pop the plaster off.

Keep up on the maintenance and you will have a ton of fun with this. Our 179 was the gateway drug.

10-4 that. This one has already had minor leaking problems (the reason I got a really good deal on it). The previous owner resealed everything. I am getting ready to go over it with a fine tooth comb.

A good deal in covid time is awesome. Used is the only way I would recommend getting one. That is what we did and it worked out great. Rpod's have a surprisingly (and unjustified IMO) high resale value.

You can buy that trim on Amazon. Mine was brittle after 4 years. I would guess with the FL sun that your are due or will be soon. You can probably get enough to do the whole trailer for about $25 on amazon. Let us know what hitch you end up with. I am curious if it will get you level or if you have some tired springs back there. I just put an order in with ATS for some heavy duty leaf springs. My current trailer has a ton of tongue weight.

I'm thinking about new springs. I've abused this truck with quite a few 1 ton loads.
