Blinker Mirrors

Does anyone know if you can take the mirrors from a later 2nd gen (shown in the picture) and put them on an early 2nd gen?

 

It’s been done, search and you’ll find detailed instructions on how.

 

Yes ive been thinking of doing this a well. Ive read one of the easier ways is to get a set of mirrors for a 2010 ish 4 runner and run the wires and your done. You can find aftermarket ones for under $200

 

I’ve been contemplating it myself. Really it’s almost a necessity if you use the turn signal, many drivers don’t, and you want to be seen.

 

Just looking saw a set for $150 on
1aauto . Have to paint the outside covers but that’s not to hard

do you know if they plug right into the existing wires (adjustment wires) or would i have to tap into it?
