Hello! I'm new here and really would like some advice please. I purchased a 2013 tacoma trd sport. I was going to be using the camera source harness to move the backup camera from rear view mirror to radio display. I was wondering if I did this, would I lose the outside temp, direction traveled display on the mirror? This is something I would really like to keep. Thanks

I believe if you just find the camera wire and leave other wires there you shouldn’t loose any thing.or just run another trigger wire for the camera and have it display on both screens. Thats how mine works. I also did the anytime camera mod

you can do this if you plan to have an aftermarket or get the 2014/2015 HU. The bonus you can have it show up in both places. If you are running a newer HU then you need to buy a plug and run a couple of wires. It's documented in a thread about swapping in parts. If I can find it I can link it. I have a 2013 and ran a 2014 HU which I needed to do for in order to see it on the HU. As @TACOMA2NDGEN noted you tap into a wire that leads to it to get it pointed to the HU.

nice that's the same thread I was thinking of. not too hard to do and should achieve what is needed. I was going to use the switch pro but you can also feed it into the head unit front camera input. I forgot the other setup but someone in the Dasaita threads figured out how to do the front camera with another setup via the controls.
