I'm in for the free TSB. But I'll catch you farther north on your way to Boise if you're willing and depending on timing.

Anywhere local to purchase and more importantly install leaf springs? Ive got a squeak that's become unbearable and they're probably overdue anyway. Ive poured through multiple threads and tried different types of lubrication and haven't been able to silence it. Planning on going with OME's if anyone actually has them in stock but don't know if that's something I'd be able to tackle in the garage at home.

The OME will squeak badly if you dont keep them lubed up also.

Ive only had stock and dakars. Dakars are ok as long as you lube the leafs with grease every other oil change interval or so

OME isnt for you then. I get embarrased after a wheeling trip driving through my neighborhood with a fresh set of squeaky springs.

Def keep them lubed. Even getting them wet and the grime out of them can help

Ive tried the power washer and a silicone lubricant a couple times now, only seems to work for me for a day maybe two.

Take them apart leaf by leaf clean and grease contact areas. Or flex them and seperate contact spots with something(large screwdriver) and apply grease, spray aint gonna cut it

    Leaf springs are easy peasy.

Jack up the frame leaving the wheel on the ground lightly, a bolt in front, a bolt in back, maybe the shackle needs to be removed to get to the back bolt. Differential u-bolts. Detach the emergency cable bracket. Replace spring. Reverse procedure. About an hour per side including a beer.

    Rockauto.com has the springs.

Speaking of leafs I was rotating my tires today and noticed my OME's didn't look like I thought the should. Input? Look flat or bowed to me, less than 5k.
