    Thoughts from the brain trust?
My ‘05 has hung in there like a champ. Love that truck. 6 speed manual. I want the same truck again and I found it. This one is a ‘13. Mostly stock but has a Homesteader plow (light duty plow) used for his driveway, not work.
he’s added a leveling kit 3” and 2” to accommodate for the plow.
The question is: One; do you think the plow has damaged the truck or will be a cause for concern?
And B; does a leveling kit effect the drivetrain in anyway that I would need to be concerned about.
I’m a big fan of stock Machines. I feel like they are pretty smart engineers and I have always had the best luck with things as they were designed. But I actually could use a little plow. So I’m pretty interested in this truck.

Lifts do tend to be harder on the CV axles.
And in the 2nd Gens. It’s about 50/50 if it causes vibrations due to the needle bearing.
The needle bearing can be replaced with a bushing. Issue fixed.
The CV is a different story. Once lifted, if the CV boots tear, buy quality CV axles with HD extended angle boots.

Other than that, the important thing is to inspect the frame for rust.

Thank you TnShooter. I will have to research the needle bearing.

The reason I asked is I recall reading that lifting the truck changes the angle of the driveshaft and is hard on those bearings (but of course I can’t find those threads now).

Evidently the frame was inspected and then re-sealed from the inside (?)
(Sounds great if that’s a thing.)

My brother in law has a 08 with a small plow
he needed to add a small lift for the plow to work right not sure why
Maybe the weight of the plow
Could be why was added in your case
He has had it since new no problems

Yes Tacofish. That’s exactly right. He added the leveling kit because he said the plow would dive.
Good to know about your BIL’s thanks.

    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
I have a Snoway plow on my 08. Love it.
I did install stock coil overs and rear shocks from 3rd gen, gave me about 3/4 inch of lift.
You don't need to do anything to support extra weight of the plow.
When I put plow on it drops front end 1 inch. No issues.
