Has anybody watched their long term fuel trim (LTFT) to see where it is before and after modifications?

edit: I'm cleaning up this post and thread to start from scratch with stock everything (other than lift and tires)

If anyone else has looked at this stuff along with changes they made, it would be great to hear some input. I'll list up some changes I think will be happening as follows:

    - disconnect battery (I'll call it full reset), go back to stock airbox and see what the LTFT and STFT look like
    - full reset and add the CAI with some heat wrap back (although probably not a big deal in winter) and see what fuel trims look like
    - full reset and replace stock fuel pump with either new V6 fuel pump bucket assembly or aftermarket fuel pump setup and see what fuel trims look like with stock airbox
    - full reset and try the CAI
    - full reset and swap 2-1/2" cat-back exhaust
    - full reset and swap the injectors and see what the fuel trims look like with the stock airbox
    - full reset and try the CAI again with the swapped injectors
    - full reset and hope that now I'm ready to try to add in the supercharger setup with swapped fuel pump, injectors and stock airbox. I'm going to leave this one open ended since I'm not sure if I'm going full on smallest pulley, Mapecu3 with 5th injector or just stock computer for the first test.

    Results:
    - Stock airbox seems to run around 3-4 LTFT under acceleration (hard or easy throttle) and around 0-1 while cruising around

Try cleaning the throttle and the maf and watching fuel trim. Should run less rich over time typically.

I stopped watching most of Jan-Feb due to cold weather and snowstorms would throw off any meaningful information.

3/5/21 - Now that it's getting nicer out I started watching again and the LTFT will hit 8 when I give it almost any amount of gas. Not flooring it but even just giving it gas to keep up with traffic or climb a hill it will hit 8, coasting/cruising is around 4 most of the time.

3/9/21 - I added the Eittar 9Drive throttle controller last week and the weather warmed up so I wanted to start with a clean reset. I removed the AFD intake and put the stock airbox back in, reset the computer and set the throttle controller to P1.4 and I'll leave it there when I test other changes. Did a good 20-25 minutes of driving to give it time to adjust and the LTFT pretty much sits at 0 or jumps to 1 when I get aggressive. It won't go above 1 no matter how much gas I give it. I'll give it a couple of days to see if it changes and then I think I will remove the secondary charcoal filter and see if the numbers change. I think the AFD intake is flowing air better based on the numbers but not sure if it's more air or just smoother flow.

3/12/21 - After a couple days of driving and towing the boat today, the LTFT seems to have settled around 3 when you get into the gas and 0 or 1 when cruising and maintaining speed. I'll give it a few more days to see if it changes before I do anything else.

3/16/21 - Still driving with stock setup and the LTFT is now hitting 4 when you give it gas so I'll give it more time to settle in before changes

3/21/21 - Still the stock setup and the LTFT seem to have settled at 3. It was hitting 4 for one day and I haven't seen 4 since that day, strange.

3/27/21 - Still stock airbox and the LTFT dropped down to 2 for 2 days (even towing the boat) when it was warmer and then went back to 3. At this point, I think 3 is the number for the stock setup on my truck.

4/1/21 - I removed the secondary filter which is just a charcoal screen that you can see through so I doubt that is holding back any air flow. It was holding at 3 for a few days and now it's up to 4 the last couple of days with normal driving (while towing the boat as well).

4/5/21 - It looks like the stock airbox runs around 3-4 on the LTFT. It was mostly 3 and then went to 4 when I removed the secondary filter but that could also be warmer weather. I removed the stock airbox and put the AFD intake back on and I'll see what the numbers look like. I did a full reset as well.

4/14/21 - Last update since the truck is now sold. With the AFD intake on for the past 9 days, the LTFT was running around 7-8 under acceleration. So it looks like the intake flows the air quite a bit better allowing the computer to add more fuel to maintain stoich. Intake temps were pretty much the same as stock except when stopped in traffic or backing up. The temps would raise quicker in those situations but go right back down as soon as you started moving forward.

Bump for the updates in the previous post. I'll try to keep updating as I change things now that the weather is a little better. We're still running on winter gas and that could throw things off until late Apr or May time frame.
