We almost didn’t make it. Stopped in Medford and getting on the freeway felt loose. Only to find out 4 sheered wheel studs and only 1 lug nut holding my tire on. I blame 4WP who likely over-torqued. Only used them for a free balance and did work on all 4 since but this one. I should have checked or loosens and re-torqued. Luckily we were 30 Miles from grants pass and @Mike's Custom Toys and we’re headed there to pick up some axles. They had us back on the road in less than 2 hours. If you need work or parts they will take care of you.

But still could have been much worse. Thankfully we made it, got installed and back home safe and sound.

killer! i know it will look killer haha ill be moving the 1 solar panel back to the tent along with the second one I had set up before. I may switch to flexible ones for height purposes but the regular is hard to argue with cheap and work well.

I did pick up the awning bracket to put my POS rhino rack 270 on for now. have the GTFO lights to add and some other parameter S2's I had one before. Need to see what else but to echo what @frenchee said it's a well-made product for sure. still, some improvements to be made but a ton of thought that been put into the camper that's for sure.

only hiccup i had was the door latch on the rear was not matched ot my doors so they need to ship me a matching handle for an exchange.

This is what I ended up doing on my Prinsu. Thanks to @Synergy001 and @gnardoggie for the feedback and spacing. I almost had it perfect but needed to trim off the small section at the end. I wanted the mounting points and fill the gap. @frenchee still thinks I should have cut it off.

Also of it helps give you an idea of how much room you will have. I mounted one of my panels here for the time being.

Good info and pics. Was curious about all that as well. I'll be doing the same exact thing. my plan was to throw my ramps up there and go soft panels on the SP roof

Yah I likely will go soft panels for the top. I have 2 hard ones now but soft ones seems like the way to go. I’ve seen them installed with a. High strength commercial Velcro which seeks to hold up well.

What don't you like about the rhino rack 270? I've been considering one.

HEY ALL! I'm not even in development yet :( but still planning. I have 3 folding 120watt panels (Bluetti). I'd really hate having to buy more panels. Any suggestions for mounting on the roof top permanently?

Man that’s tight. Which I like. The idea is to be as compact as possible IMHO. No wasted space. I’m a little concerned because on my regular cab the third brake light is housed in a hump that’s about an inch high. Maybe less. It’ll be close though. I’ll measure very carefully today.

Thanks for the pics. Really appreciate it.

Using a measuring tape it looks like a half inch from level at the highest. Maybe 3/4 but really more like 1/2. Hard to measure with the curve of the roof. Still, closer. Rethinking my decision not to box my frame.

    Sounds like it will clear.
You can just "plate" the frame. Not as good as box but that would be relatively "easy" if you take it to a fab shop.
Boxing it is going to be a little more involved and cost more obviously. You will need to relocate shocks, or they will need to cut a hole in the plate to clear the shock mounting point on top. You would need to ditch the spare tire carrier.

I can't quantify how much better boxing is than plating, but plating could be a good first step since it's relatively easy.

And plating may be more than sufficient for a regular cab with a long bed where the overhang of a wedge camper is less, which is what I’m convinced exaggerates the frame flex.
