Finally got a vaccine appt., weird because according to the state I'm not eligible until the 15th. But a bunch of appointments opened up last night with no requirement to prove you are eligible, so I made one for Friday AM.

Probably have a bunch of doses left over that they need to use I'm guessing

Yeah the whole thing is pretty loose. I got in a little early because i'm technically a transportation worker, but at no point was I ever required to prove it.

Did you get the single dose or one of the double dose ones?

I'm hoping for the single....just get it over with. My wife wants the double dose one though because I guess it's more effective. I've survived this far though without getting it (that I know of), I'll be happy with the single dose vaccine

According to the website we have the chance of getting either one, don't think you get a choice though when it's your turn.

Ive got the first dose of the double dose phizer one, getting the next one in a couple weeks.

There's some interesting research out that suggests even after one dose, the double-dose vaccines are very effective. Bottom line though is the one you can get the soonest is the best.

Not sure if it's nationwide or even statewide, but our county is reserving the single doses for the homeless since they're less likely to seek medical attention in the first place and sure as hell not going to go to 2 separate appointments

That's actually a really good point, I hadn't heard that here but I would imagine with the huge homeless population we have, they'd be looking to do that too

Your areas homeless population is the only reason I brought it up lol

I heard it on the local news station here, it hasn't been advertised anywhere
