I know this has probably been asked and answered a million times, but my 13 month old is having a jack jack kinda day and I simply don't have the time to search. So my question is...

I have a 2017 double cab TRD OR with stock 16" wheels. I've not done any mods yet, but I'm working that way. I do however want to upgrade to a 17" wheel and slightly bigger tire. I've been looking at the TRD Pro wheels in matte grey. They are listed for a 4Runner. Will They work with my 2017 Tacoma? And when I say work, I mean without any mods, etc. I've called local Toyota dealer and they have no idea.

And, if they do fit, what's the biggest tire I can fit without worrying about clearance? I will eventually put a lift on the truck but wanting to start with new wheels for now. I may add an extra leaf spring, as I carry a lot of weight in the back with canopy, slider system and roof top tent. But for now, just wheels. TIA.

This info is around, you just kinda have to dig for it.
4Runner wheels wheels will fit a tacoma. 265/70/17 will not rub.
Sizes up from that on a 17" wheel youre just gonna have to search around for people with similar setups. If you're definitely doing a lift, I'd wait to get wheels and tires so that the choices you make for lift height and wheel/tire size match up. You'd hate to be stuck with too small of a wheel/tire after you lifted, or too big a wheel/tire when/if your lift doesn't provide enough clearance.

Welcome to the strange, often helpful, very opinionated, and often overly dramatic world of Tacoma World!

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Bigger wheels, bigger tires, etc. will likely reduce your MPGs (if you care).
